Changes and work in progress. A source update does not by itself mean the hosted app has been published.
Quick hits opens a quick overview
Updated
Honor Quick hits on article pages, showing the available quick version or the published overview with a button to open the full article.
Deep reads and Story mode retain the full reporting. Choosing a quick overview does not generate new reporting.

Four ways to read Sportopias
Updated
Bring larger lead headlines and the interactive running-game film room onto the homepage.
Add an optional homepage comparison with Film room, Matchday, Press box and Clubhouse designs, including mobile layouts and keyboard selection.
Keep the selected comparison in the URL so it survives a reload and can be shared. Open comparison mode with ?design=1; the normal homepage keeps its reading layout.

Replace oversized home and Coverage card shells with open headlines, summaries and quiet dividers.
Bring team stories forward, with team information in a disclosure and adjacent-team links after coverage.
The official Mobbin MCP is registered, but account authentication and its reference comparison remain pending.
A clearer Bears-Packers preview
Updated
Add an archived pregame preview with clearer source flow, concrete gamebook sequences and the manual 3D running explainer. Its reporting was collected before the noon CT kickoff.
The article scored 90/100 (93 and 87) in a fresh blind batch, clearing the 89-point target with neither judge below 85. The prior live article scored 88 in the same batch; these are subjective AI evaluations.
Identify full-game previews accurately in headlines and preserve the original three-draft comparison and its original scores.
A sharper Bears-Packers pregame
Updated
Add a revised pregame linking Bagent’s missed opportunity, the staff’s scoring work and Roschon’s expanded role, with exact press-conference and official gamebook evidence.
The new article scored 88.5/100 (92 and 85); the prior live article scored 83.5 in the same blind batch. The 89-point target remains active.
Integrate the manual 3D crease illustration within the running discussion and preserve the original three-draft comparison with separate follow-up results.
Improve pregame voice, repair citation instructions and headline focus. Accept unknown publication times only for freshly retrieved primary official documents alongside independently dated reporting.
A more specific Bears-Packers preview
Updated
Add a revised Bears-Packers preview grounded in documented plays, named coaching assessments and contextualized opponent third-down reporting.
The new preview scored 86.5/100 (90 and 83) in a fresh blind trial; the earlier live candidate scored 78 in that same batch. Further quality work remains.
Condense the pregame composition brief, retain it during factual repairs, preserve causal and date scope, and give headline generation the full article.
Keep the richer manual Three.js explainer on the revised preview and retain the original three-draft comparison with separate follow-up results.
Three previews and a richer rushing explainer
Updated
Add three original Bears-Packers preview drafts using the same refreshed source set and different editorial approaches, with a reader comparison page and transparent two-evaluator scores.
Publish the Writing Craft candidate, which scored 81.5/100 in this trial. The previous preview scored 79.5 in the same batch; the Athletic references scored 89 to 91.5. The experiment does not establish a large quality gain or a universally better skill.
Upgrade the inline Three.js comparison with articulated football figures, moving blocks, lighting and shadows, a revealed running path, end-zone and overhead views, slow motion and four selectable play moments.
Keep playback manual, loading near the viewport and a written WebGL fallback. The animation remains a simplified concept rather than game footage or a recorded blocking scheme.
Improve pregame prompt guidance for reported openings, concrete mechanisms, concise prose and honest event dates; fix citation splitting around the Bears, etc. show label while retaining checks for uncited claims.
Bears preview with a 3D rushing explainer
Updated
Add a new Bears-Packers preview for devoted Bears readers, with a more distinctive opening and verified speaker attribution for Bagent and Ben Johnson.
Add an interactive Three.js rushing illustration beside the article’s clean-crease explanation. Compare a clean lane with backfield penetration using play, pause, replay and keyboard scrubbing.
Keep animation paused until requested, load 3D only near the illustration, and retain a written comparison when WebGL is unavailable. The scene is a simplified concept, not game footage, tracking data or a prediction.
Use the original 100-point editorial rubric to evaluate the new prose. Interactive illustrations are not included in that prose score; this first illustration is explicitly registered to this article.
Full Bears pregame coverage
Updated
Add a full Bears at Packers pregame feature grounded in press conferences, long-form podcast transcripts, official injury reports and Saturday roster updates.
Require full pregame assignments to use multiple transcript sources and substantive matchup coverage. Improve source attribution and reject unsupported guesses about podcast speakers or press-conference roles.
Fix citation checks for kickoff-time abbreviations and prevent duplicate article titles. Verified reporter posts were not available for this article; no X reporting is claimed.
Cleaner official sources
Updated
Trim navigation and related-story lists from extracted articles on all 32 registered NFL official sites. Missing article headings retain a clearly identified RSS excerpt.
Honor provider discovery cooldowns across caption, metadata and audio-transcription methods, including saved worker state. Preserve longer cooldowns and fail closed on invalid controls.
Reconcile current reader coverage in the requirements ledger. Original reporting for all teams and continuous scheduling remain under validation.
Fresh team feeds and official recordings
Updated
Allow verified curated feeds to initialize a new team's RSS database, including valid empty databases. Reject feeds belonging to another team before collection.
Collect current registered official recordings without requiring generic event words in their titles. Full transcripts stay private; article evidence remains attributed and bounded.
Add a recorded, one-job retry after a verified intake repair, preserving attempt history, receipt recovery and source-provider cooldowns. All-team original article coverage remains under validation.
Bounded NFL publication
Updated
Add a durable all-32 NFL publication runner with serial waves, daily deduplication, resumable outcomes and confirmed worker shutdown, using full configured source intake and the existing evidence gates.
Add an opt-in hourly publication scheduler. Recurring publication remains disabled during operational validation.
Repair local video discovery output overflow by requesting only bounded metadata fields. Try registered-channel discovery when official upload feeds return 404 or 410, preserving provider restrictions and cooldowns. All-team transcript coverage remains under validation.
Include verified Packers Unscripted and Cowboys Break titles in their official-channel spoken-video selection. Audio RSS ingestion remains separate.
Place related-reading links after the complete text of future generated articles. Existing verified article bodies are preserved.
Packers Place Chris Brooks on IR Ahead of Bears Matchup
Updated
Add Green Bay Packers reporting: Packers Place Chris Brooks on IR Ahead of Bears Matchup. Source and hosted publication are verified separately.
Clearer featured stories
Updated
Use the full featured-story card for text when no verified hero image exists.
Show complete featured headlines on mobile without an empty image column.
NFL reading app and feature fixes
Updated
Load 92 current, verified official-site stories across all 32 NFL team hubs, with source attribution and links to the publisher.
Connect publisher search throughout the app, team filters and the Daily Book to the validated all-team feed. Keep mobile setup and team discovery compact.
Improve team-to-team navigation, mobile menu access and article reading progress. Restore saved reading positions through Continue Reading.
Fix Story media expansion and Quick Play draft save/resume, including the selected team label. Saves and private previews remain on this browser.
Add a repeatable NFL feed refresh command with a read-only preview and an explicit validated write. Podcasts and X still require their team-specific source setup.
Refresh NFL video selection
Updated
Refresh cached official-video eligibility when the configured spoken-video selection changes, allowing previously skipped previews to enter intake without clearing attempts or provider cooldowns.
Verify live news and video feed access for all 32 NFL teams. Team-specific transcript and article outcomes remain separate from source availability.
NFL sources and official evidence
Updated
Configure verified official news feeds and YouTube channels for all 32 NFL teams, with team-isolated transcript storage and bounded intake/preview batches.
Remove the redundant second-outlet requirement for uncontested official announcements. Verified official video excerpts use publisher authority; exact evidence, disputed-claim resolution and final factual checks remain required.
Verify all 32 source configurations and live Green Bay/Chicago intake. Podcasts and X still require separate configured sources; all-team publication and recurring scheduling are not enabled by this source rollout.
Full video transcripts and audio fallback
Updated
Add an optional second YouTube caption method and configured whisper.cpp audio fallback, retaining source identity, full-file coverage, shared cooldowns and exact-span checks.
Verify both caption tools and a complete local Whisper transcription against the Ben Johnson Bears recording. Keep full transcripts private and disclose recognition errors in article sources.
Repair refreshed transcript observation timestamps so the upload collector can restart safely. Story selection receives transcript evidence; speaker attribution, factual corroboration and publication checks remain required.
Bears video transcript intake
Updated
Connect registered official YouTube caption intake to story selection. Full caption tracks are processed privately; exact timestamped excerpts enter the source store.
Fix small final caption display-time overruns without changing source words, and retain related transcript context within the existing 48-hour evidence window.
Verify the Ben Johnson Bears recording through live caption collection and normal intake. Speaker attribution, factual corroboration and publication checks still apply; podcasts and X remain separately configured sources.
Reporting copy edit and pilot results
Updated
Paraphrase long source quotations in the Mike Ditka report, retaining 16 quoted words. The revised text passed structural and source-packet factual checks; remove the unrelated old quarterback recommendation from this report.
Require future drafts to stay within a 25-word direct quotation budget and use attributed paraphrases beyond it. Factual, citation and publication checks remain intact.
Chicago completed the live publication pilot. Green Bay remains held for insufficient corroborated evidence, and recurring publishing remains inactive. Source pushed and corrected hosted content are verified separately.
Mike Ditka Dies at 86, Bears Honor Hall of Fame Legend
Updated
Add Chicago Bears reporting: Mike Ditka Dies at 86, Bears Honor Hall of Fame Legend. Source and hosted publication are verified separately.
Repairs from the real reporting pilot
Updated
Accept harmless trailing feed-headline whitespace while requiring the same official article heading. Keep navigation and unrelated stories outside reporting evidence.
Strengthen drafting instructions against unsupported career chronology and causation. Factual and citation failures continue to hold publication.
Allow an explicitly recorded completed repair to resume a failed pilot command immediately, preserving the three-attempt cap and publication recovery. Pilot articles and recurring activation remain unverified.
Cleaner reporting evidence and safer recovery
Updated
Extract literal official article bodies before scoring, excluding site navigation and related-story cards. Refresh unused legacy navigation dumps without changing used evidence.
Screen bounded written story clusters and narrower official reports against the unchanged evidence gate. Preserve held outcomes and attempts on explicit reassessment.
Persist verified terminal publication results before clearing recovery receipts. Live intake found significant injury/roster stories lacking independent corroboration; recurring publication remains inactive.
A controlled two-team reporting pilot
Updated
Prepare fresh written-source reporting for Chicago and Green Bay with separate team data, serial releases, daily deduplication, pause controls and restart recovery.
Every new article batch includes timestamped release notes bound to its exact committed bytes. Existing source, citation and factual checks remain required.
This records the pilot code. Fresh articles, hosted verification and recurring activation remain separate milestones; transcript and league-wide coverage are still pending.
Safer evidence from recorded official videos
Updated
Ordinary official recordings can now use a separate evidence handoff without invented live start or end times. Known recording dates cannot disappear to make old testimony look fresh; unknown dates retain an explicit disclosure.
Speaker and player identity are checked against independent official reporting before generation. Caption selection prefers original English and rejects explicit translation tracks; ambiguous names and quotations that do not match stay blocked.
The local collector has obtained real timestamped Bagent captions, but those captions and the official recap do not yet provide enough independently verified quotations for a story. Automatic publishing remains inactive, audio transcription is still unsupported, and existing articles are unchanged.
Connected newsroom collection and safer publishing recovery
Updated
Official tracking now lets the transcript collector work between checks. Game context can advance while retaining earlier observations, and the provisional caption index preserves earlier text as a live recording grows.
First-story and follow-up commands now use the existing guarded publishing process. Old testimony cannot become fresh through a newer recap, and interrupted publication retains its recovery record until the saved result is durable.
Automatic article publishing remains inactive. YouTube is rejecting caption requests, and a usable transcript, final speaker verification, audio transcription and a real source-to-article run remain unproven. Existing published articles are unchanged.
Game context updates and a provisional caption index
Updated
Local game dossiers can collect bounded podcast and social metadata alongside primary evidence. Later updates can extend the observed window while preserving earlier observations and rejecting changed game identity or stale collectors.
The context-intake-cli and live-chunk-cli provide explicit local commands and offline status checks. The caption index saves timestamped observations across restarts and respects the shared provider cooldown; every entry remains provisional and cannot supply publishable quotations.
This records source integration, not a hosted release. No worker was activated. Automatic stories, full transcripts, audio transcription, independently verified speakers and final recording handoff remain pending; live caption availability is unverified.
Official video tracking and restart-safe evidence collection
Updated
A new local newsroom command tracks official Bears uploads, records which recordings are pending or processed, and saves progress so a restart does not repeat completed transcription.
Coverage reports show the observed feed window and possible gaps, rather than claiming every historical upload was collected. YouTube errors trigger persistent backoff; optional context failures remain separate from primary evidence.
This is the first newsroom increment. Continuous live transcription, connected podcast and social collectors, and automatic first-story publication are not yet active. Existing published articles are unchanged.
Source-checked article title photographs
Updated
New articles and previews can automatically select a relevant title photograph from a reviewed local library. The first photograph is an archival Bagent image with a verified CC0 source, photographer credit and crop record.
The pipeline checks the original and cropped image hashes, decodes the files and rejects missing, unsupported or irrelevant images. Stories without a suitable verified photograph stay text-first. Published article text is unchanged.
A live-event audit found that normal Bears YouTube intake is descriptions-only, podcasts and X need source setup, and the live callback lacks durable state. Live transcription and complete postgame coverage are not claimed by this release.
Aligned article images and clearer source intake
Updated
Small team logos and player photos now sit against the letters, while names share the surrounding sentence's baseline. Checked at normal and enlarged text sizes in serif and sans-serif.
The article pipeline now uses one team-configured intake for RSS, podcast captions, YouTube descriptions and X context, with bounded requests and explicit missing-source reports. Relevant analysis can accompany authoritative reporting without replacing it.
The current article's saved provenance confirms GPT-6.1 Sol for its draft and revision. Its text is unchanged. Podcast and X source lists still need configuration for Bears coverage; YouTube descriptions are not full press-conference transcripts.
Small inline article identifiers
Updated
Articles can now show verified team identifiers and player photos beside eligible prose mentions, with at most three per story and one per paragraph. Later mentions stay plain.
The Jets, Bagent and Keenum story uses a small Jets logo, the existing Bagent portrait and an archival Keenum photo, with source and license credits. Failed images fall back to the original text.
Checked on desktop and three phone sizes, including source credits and plain-text image fallbacks. Article text, reader controls and the paper reading layout are preserved.
Book-like article typography
Updated
Articles now use a book-like serif font on warm paper, with larger text, comfortable line spacing and a clean reading column. Saved reader preferences still take precedence.
The Bagent article demos one small circular player photo tucked into a subtle name pill. Only his first full name gets this treatment; later mentions stay plain. The photo has a verified reuse license and a quiet credit.
Checked on desktop and three phone sizes. Reader controls, saved font choices and the plain-text photo fallback work. The article text and reporting sources are unchanged.
A cleaner article reading page
Updated
Articles now flow down one continuous page, with a readable serif column and more room for text on phones. Rounded boxes and the oversized opening letter are removed.
Reader settings, themes, reading progress, source links, and story controls remain available. This entry records a source change; the hosted update awaits publication.
Subjective publication thresholds removed
Updated
Subjective judge scores and thresholds no longer block publication. Ordinary live generation no longer calls blind editorial judges; offline scoring and recorded scores remain diagnostics.
Source integrity, citation, attribution, factual/error holds, structural validation and deterministic editorial checks remain required. Publication verifies the exact final generation title and body hash.
The first fresh Bears story is added: Bagent and Keenum prepare for the Jets. It passed factual and citation checks; its historical subjective scores remain diagnostic only. It uses three official Bears reports, not YouTube, X, or podcast inputs.
Fresh reporting restart
Updated
The old article inventory was removed at the owner's request, with a local archive retained.
Article drafting and its one bounded revision now use GPT-6.1 Sol with medium reasoning. Fact checks retain source dates, and News reports no longer require hypothetical analysis endings.
The first fresh Bears candidate remains unpublished: factual checks passed, but its revised editorial mean was 85.5 against the required 88. NFL expansion awaits an accepted article and owner review.
